Mission Statement

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet the human needs in His name without discrimination.

Description

The Salvation Army has been fulfilling its mission here in the Midlands for over 100 years serving those most in need. We could not accomplish our work without our thousands of dedicated volunteers. Throughout the year, volulunteers have done everything from painting rooms and serving meals at our Main Street facility, to working in our thrift store stocking shelves and unloading donations, to working on the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina, to ringing our famous bells throughout the Midlands.
